Problems during program start may occur when using the Internet Explorer 7. When the program is started the following error massage is displayed even when the original CD is being used: Click here
- Download the patch (250 kB) (Click here). In the following window choose "Save".
- After downloading the file, you will have to unzip the file and run the file now or later to install the patch.
- During installation, follow the instructions given by the program.
- Remark: You need administrator privileges for the computer to install the patch.
- The installation program copies some files and a shortcut "Start DTCO Training Patch" is created on your desktop.
- Use this shortcut to start the program from now on.
After installing the patch the program has to be started as follows:
- Insert the CD into your CD drive. If the autostart function is activated and the program is started automatically from CD, abort this process by closing all browser windows that have been opened.
- Start the program by double-clicking the shortcut "Start DTCO Training Patch" that has been created on your desktop.
- A window is opened: (Click here).
- Choose the letter of your CD-ROM drive from the drop-down list, e.g. "E:".
- The program starts with this window now: (Click here).
- Then choose your language. The training is started afterwards.
Choosing the letter of your CD-ROM drive is necessary only once after installing the patch.

Under certain conditions, the Start Program might not execute the check for the software requirements without errors.
For example, if Adobe Acrobat Reader 7/8 is installed, it can happen in certain cases that it is not recognized by the Start program. It then requests you to install a previous version of Acrobat Reader. However, Adobe intercepts this, issuing the message that a
later version exists. As a result, the "Start" button is not activated and the program cannot be started.
Proceed as follows if this error occurs:
- Download file "DTCO_p_1_05.zip". This is a compressed zip file (size: 3 kB).
- Unzip this Zip file to a folder of your choice with a commercially available compression program (e.g. WinZip). The file "Siemens_VDO.reg" is created in the same folder.
- Double-click the "Siemens_VDO.reg" program to start it. After entering the registration, confirm the question with "Yes".
If there are any problems downloading the Zip file, check the security settings of your system. Some firewall and antivirus protection programs prevent the downloading of Zip files. Change these settings so that this is permitted; if necessary, reset them after the download
